“We hope first for a global goal to triple renewable energy; Second, to double the energy efficiency rate by 2030 and third to phase out fossil fuel,” Elena Finckh, Energy Counsellor of the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in China, emphasized Germany and the EU’s proposal when she talked about the COP28.

At the China ( Sichuan ) International Conference on the Promotion of Clean Energy, one of the supporting activities of the first China International Supply Chain Expo, Elena Finckh also mentioned that China and Germany have been cooperating on energy and climate issues for a long time, and China’s Sichuan province could be a role model driving the energy transition elsewhere.
