Anthony Carty, an Irish legal scholar and visiting professor at Peking University, shares his views on the sovereignty of the South China Sea from his new book. Professor Carty pointed out that China has sovereignty over the South China Sea Islands according to his research in the legal archives of the British and French foreign ministries. “They are not behaving honestly, in terms of their own historical memory,” he said.
