Erik Solheim, former executive director of the UN Environment Program and former Minister of Environment and International Development of Norway, said that China has moved to become an absolute leader in tree planting, preserving species, creating national parks and on green technology.
Mr. Solheim, who has been visiting China for decades, has witnessed the country's rapid transition to a green, sustainable economy.
2024 marks the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Norway, "China is now a world leader in all green technologies that can contribute to development in Norway and Europe," he said.
