“There's no doubt that sculptures from Parthenon should not be in London or in Denmark,” Ingolf Thuesen, archaeologist and Professor of the University of Copenhagen said about the British Museum's controversial Greek collection. In his opinion, cultural relics should be brought to a facility close to where they had a life in the past even for protection. If they were taken from their nature and history, it would be making a crime to history.
After the dispute between Greece and the UK over the permanent return of the Parthenon Sculptures, an ancient Greek vase from the British Museum was recently displayed at the Acropolis Museum.
