In this exclusive interview with Ulla Nurmenniemi, executive director of FinnCham Beijing and Timo Sysio, Press and Cultural Counsellor at the Embassy of Finland, we talked about cultural exchanges between China and Finland.
“We organized some events in China, among them seminars and workshops, especially with local students and universities.” As a frontline worker in cultural exchange between Finland and China, Timo shared a lot of events that were held and will be arranged with us. He also shared his opinions about how to strengthen the further bilateral understanding between China and Finland as well as between China and Europe.
Ulla and Timo were profoundly impressed by China’s rapid development and the beauty of its traditional culture. Timo said that in the future, the two countries could develop more cooperation on issues such as business, climate sustainable development, etc. Ulla said, “The speed of the development and progress in China is amazing, and coming to China to experience it firsthand will give everyone a deeper sense of what it is like.” Check out the video for more information.
